This journey connects Uganda’s most iconic landscapes. From the misty primate forests of Bwindi to the savannahs of Queen Elizabeth and the world’s most powerful waterfall at Murchison, this is the ultimate "Big Five + Primates" safari.

It includes Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is a packed itinerary optimized for wildlife, nature, and travel flow.

The Beginning of the Trek

Day 1: The Rhino Trek & The Northward Gate

  • Morning: Depart Kampala (07:00 AM) in a 4x4 Long-Range Land Cruiser.

  • Activity: Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided bush walk to track Southern White Rhinos on foot.

  • Evening: Cross the Nile to enter Murchison Falls National Park. Dinner overlooking the river.

Day 2: The Murchison Power & Plains

  • Morning: Game drive on the northern bank in search of Giraffes, Lions, and Elephants.

  • Afternoon: Private boat safari to the base of Murchison Falls, followed by a hike to the Top of the Falls to feel the earth vibrate as the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge.

  • Evening: Sunset drive back to the lodge.

Day 3: The Long Equatorial Drive

  • Morning: A scenic southward journey through the Albertine Rift.

  • Activity: Pass through the "Oil City" of Hoima and the rolling tea plantations of Fort Portal.

  • Evening: Check-in at the crater lakes region near Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4: The Kazinga Channel & Savannah

  • Morning: Sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi plains (famous for Leopard sightings and Uganda Kob).

  • Afternoon: Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, home to the world's highest concentration of Hippos and Nile Crocodiles.

  • Evening: Explore the salt-mining crater lakes of Katwe.

Day 5: Tree-Climbing Lions & The Bwindi Ascent

  • Morning: Drive to the Ishasha Sector, the only place in the world to reliably see Lions lounging in giant Fig Trees.

  • Afternoon: Leave the savannah and ascend into the "Kigezi Highlands" (the Switzerland of Africa).

  • Evening: Arrival at the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 6: The Primal Encounter (Gorilla Trekking)

  • Morning: The main event. Enter the ancient rainforest to track an endangered Mountain Gorilla family.

  • Activity: Spend one hour watching the silverback and his troop in their natural habitat.

  • Evening: Cultural evening with the Batwa (Pygmy) forest people or a "Reflections Dinner" overlooking the canopy.

Day 7: The Equator Return

  • Morning: Depart the mountains for the long drive back to Kampala/Entebbe.

  • Highlight: A celebratory stop at the Equator Crossing for photos and souvenir shopping.
