The 12 days Uganda Safari offers great experience the true African wildness as it takes you to unspoiled corners of Uganda including the Murchison falls National Park. Expect to have big game drive as you spot for some of the Big 5; African lion, Elephant, Buffalo, and Leopard. Take Boat trips to explore more of the prolific birdlife and animals, primates trekking, Gorilla tracking, Cultural walks, Forest walks, excellent bird watching, Mountain hikes in the impenetrable natural forest and photography among others.

The Beginning of the Trek

Day 1: Arrival & 

Entebbe Unwind

  • Morning: Airport pickup by your guide.

  • Afternoon: Check into your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Rest and acclimatize to the tropical air.

  • Evening: Briefing on your upcoming expedition over a local dinner.

Day 2: Rhino Tracking & The Devil's Cauldron

  • Morning: Drive north to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to see southern white rhinos in the wild.

  • Afternoon: Continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Hike to the Top of the Falls to witness the Nile squeezing through a 7-meter gorge.

  • Evening: Check into your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Savannah Secrets & The Victoria Nile

  • Morning: Sunrise game drive on the Buligi tracks. Look for Rothschild giraffes, lions, and elephants.

  • Afternoon: Boat cruise to the base of the falls, spotting massive crocodiles and pods of hippos along the banks.

  • Evening: A final "sundowner" game drive to catch nocturnal predators stirring before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: Journey to the Forest & Cultural Heritage

Day 5: Chimp Trekking & The Queen’s Plains

  • Morning: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest—home to 13 primate species.

  • Afternoon: Scenic drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Cross the Equator for a quick photo stop.

  • Evening: Arrive at your lodge in the northern sector (Mweya or Kasenyi area).

Day 6: Predators & The Kazinga Channel

  • Morning: Morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, a primary hunting ground for lions and leopards.

  • Afternoon: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise, featuring one of the world's highest concentrations of hippos.

  • Evening: Relax at the lodge with views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 7: South to Ishasha

  • Morning: A slow game drive as you transfer to the remote Ishasha Sector in the southern part of the park.

  • Afternoon: Settle into your new lodge. Unlike the north, shasha offers a wilder, more secluded atmosphere.

  • Evening: Sundowners overlooking the Ntungwe River.

Day 8: Tree-Climbing Lions & The Bwindi Border

  • Morning: Search for the legendary tree-climbing lions lounging in ancient fig trees to escape the midday heat. Gipir & Labongo Safari Lodge Drive out of the savannah and up into the terraced hills toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Buhoma sector).

  • Evening: Prepare your trekking gear for tomorrow’s big adventure.

Day 9: The Ultimate Gorilla Encounter

  • The Highlight: Spend the morning tracking a family of Mountain Gorillas. Enjoy one life-changing hour in their presence.

  • Evening: Celebrate your trek with a local Batwa Cultural Experience or a forest-view massage.

Day 10: The Cross-Forest Hike (Buhoma to Nkuringo)

  • Morning: Embark on an immersive 17km hike through the heart of Bwindi Forest. You will leave your vehicle in Buhoma and meet it in Nkuringo.

  • Afternoon: Cross the Ivy River and ascend the "Top of the World" ridge for panoramic views of the Virunga Volcanoes.

  • Evening: Arrive at your lodge in Nkuringo Sector for a well-earned rest.

Day 11: High-Altitude Relaxation

  • Morning: Leisurely breakfast with views of the clouds drifting over the DRC.

  • Afternoon: Choose a "soft" activity: a Lake Mutanda Canoe Trip, a coffee-making tour, or a relaxing massage at the Mist Spa.

  • Evening: Fireside stories under the stars at your Nkuringo lodge.

Day 12: On to the Three Volcanoes

  • Morning: Scenic 1.5 to 2-hour drive south toward Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

  • Afternoon: Arrive at the Ntebeko gate. You can take the short Batwa Trai or a nature walk to the Sabyinyo Gorge.

  • Evening: Check into your final lodge, nestled at the base of the majestic Mount Gahinga.
